I’ve lived with dogs since before I learned to walk and I expect to share the rest of my life with them. I believe strongly that shelter and rescue pets make great companions. One such dog is Harry, who entered my life at the side of my partner and has since become not only a terrific cuddle partner but also my photographic inspiration. You will see his big ears and piercing eyes all over my website; he is hard to miss (look below, there he is now).
Giving a rescue animal a loving home brings great joy and contentment. Helping shelters save more pets is something I encourage us all to do. At least once a month I can be found at the Peninsula Humane Society taking pics of the long-timers; dogs and cats who have been at the shelter a year or more. I am always thrilled to hear that one of my ‘clients’ found a good home finally. When you use Chickpea to create your memories, you are also helping shelters rescue dogs and cats. 10% of the net proceeds from your session will be donated to local animal shelters and agencies in the Bay Area.
