OK, good people today we have photo’s taken with the 50mm focal lentgh as that was this week’s challenge. The pics I took were with my 50mm f/1.8 lens. I love this lens, it takes really sharp photos wide open with great bokeh (blurry background). And the coolest thing about this lens, unlike the majority of my lens, is that it is only $100. Most $100 lens are not worth spending the $100 on, but not this lens. Meet Murray, the office cat from DogTime.

Now let’s head over and see what Blue has for us this week at Blue Amrich Studio.
Before I head off for Tahoe with the family for a week of communing with nature I have a sneak peak for you of my recent session at dogtime.com in San Francisco. Now obviously Murray is not a dog, but he is the office mascot at DogTime and they have just launched their partner site CatTime. They adopted Murray a few months ago from a local shelter which is a very wonderful thing to have done as he is an older guy (over 11 is my guess) who just wants a comfy spot in the sun to nap. Thanks to Leslie Smith the editor at dogtime for reaching out to me, I enjoyed meeting everyone and spending time with Murray. Enjoy!

This weeks Project 52 challenge was a little different and really made me think about how best to approach it. The idea is to pay tribute to a famous artist and/or work of art by choosing a photo, painting, sculpture or other work of art and to “re-create” it with our own interpretation. I, myself, am not a huge Andy Warhol fan, but I couldn’t resist this “tribute”. Please check out what I am entitling “Lily ala Warhol”.

OK, you know the drill by now – click on the link and keep going until you return here. This week we start with our neighbors in Petaluma from Photo Lab .
Here are few of the new friends we made at the Bay to Barkers event last Sunday.
