Yesterday, between rain showers (on Memorial Day weekend no less!), I got to spend some time with a kitty named Pharoah.  Very sweet boy who tolerated the camera in his face pretty well.  Pharoah was rescued by his humans about a year ago when the neighbors moved and left him behind.  Now he has a very loving home and soon will have a baby to keep company as they are expecting any day now.

Thanks Joni and Maer.  Enjoy today’s sneak peak….

Lily found this story while she was surfing Facebook this morning.  What?  You don’t believe Lily reads Facebook!  Well, OK mostly she just scans the articles for interesting tidbits…….

Lily and the entire Chickpea team are outraged by this.  Hopefully you will be also.  Thanks to StubbyDog.com for sharing this.  How could anyone ban that smile?

Another week, another project.  This week it was my turn to pick the theme so I selected one of my favorite types of photography – black and white.  With that in mind I took Lily down to Point Potrero in Richmond and found this old abondoned warehouse which offered many cool backdrops.  I’ll feature more form that shoot later in the week, but here is Lily in black and white.  Enjoy.

So, I don’t know how many of you may have been worried about this whole world coming to an end thing yesterday, but the dogs and I weren’t the least bit concerned and decided a dog park outing was called for.  Between cold weather and my knee surgery it has been months since I’ve taken the dogs and my camera.  Yesterday was a great day and we meet all kinds of new doggie friends.  Apparently, none of them were concerned about the Rapture either.

Meet this cutie, I think her name was Chloe or Cleo, it seems I am as bad at dog names as I am at human names.  Need to work on that…..

Here is a shot of Harry surveying the abundance of playful dogs and grass to romp on and with.   Right after this shot he took of to play with Lily.  I know it looks like they are trying to kill each other but it is all in good fun.

Then we met this adorable Frenchie named Shu Shu. I must admit, I have a thing for Frenchies – they remind me of Gizmo from the Gremlin movies.

On our way out of the park we came across these two very sweet puppies. The first one was named Guerra, but I failed to catch the second ones name. I’m sorry I didn’t get better shots, but as soon as they showed up people swarmed around and that was it for picture taking, but I was able to catch them running toward what I assume is their favorite teddy stuffy.

Here we have another happy rescue story where this cutie has a permanently bum leg, but it didn’t seem to slow him down much. Love that floppy ear!

Then we met Treme, a beautiful Catahoula mix.  We were told Lily might be a Catahoula mix – not sure, what do you think?

Finally, our afternoon of romping at an end, Lily and Harry lead the way back to the car side by side……..

This week our task was to focus on the details or parts of our subject. Instead of doing something new I choose this picture of my beloved Dal, Jasmine, taken not long before she passed last year.

Miss you girl!
