This week in our 52 week project the challenge is “blur”; I immediately thought of using my Lensbaby. It hasn’t seen much action lately, but I love the effects you can get. The Lensbaby is a special manual focus lens that creates a distortion and blur effect. You can learn more at http://www.lensbaby.com/. I took these shots with the Muse lens.

Now head over to see what fellow photog Ann Kearns has for us at (http://www.annkearns.com). Enjoy and see you next week.

Aki was my first client of the new year and I just learned last night that he lost his battle with bladder cancer. Though I only got to meet Aki a few times he was a very gentle and loving soul. I could tell all of that just by looking in his beautiful eyes. I know he will be greatly missed and I am very grateful that I was able to meet Aki and his family. I also hope I was able to help them remember a cherished moment.

Woo hoo, another Friday has arrived, but before we can start our weekend we need to check in with Project 52 for our assignment. This week our task is to tell you, the reader, via the image something about the pet’s personality, breed, traits, etc. So my first thought was to showcase Lily again. Her DNA test states she is Boxer, Bull Terrier, Beagle mix. I refer to her as our Boxle Terrier, but frankly everyone assumes she is a Pit mix – which she probably is with that big head of hers. Like many Pit bull breeds she is a total companion dog; would be a lap dog if she was any smaller. Oh, who I am kidding….she is in our laps half the time! She is also a goofy clown who likes to spend the majority of her time playing. Here she is “in her element”.
Ball obsessed -

Playing the clown sticking her tongue out at me – (you might think this was a fluke of timing with the exposure, but you would change your mind if you knew how many pictures I have of her giving me the raspberry!)

Happy dog, relaxing in her yard -

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I enjoyed taking them. Now head over to Karla Ogilvie (http://blog.karlaogilviephotography.com) and see her take on this week’s theme.
OK, so if you haven’t visited the The Daily Pulget yet, well get your fingers clicking and check it out. Today’s post features my favorite canines – Lily and Harry. Pug from the Daily Puglet paid us a visit at the Chickpea home over the weekend and such a good time was had by all that the fun is on his website for all to share.
Thanks to Pug’s human for showing off my little cuties with her own! Enjoy.

Well, probably not, but this is my first write up in a local publication. Check it out – I made it into my hometown community website. Local girl makes good…….
