I know today’s blog title sounds a little scifi x-files-ish, but it isn’t anything super natural or otherworldly.  Just a project I am participating in with fellow pet photogs where we submit a new photograph each week putting our own interpretation on that weeks theme.  The purpose is to challenge ourselves to see outside of the traditional (or perhaps just our own) box.  Due to recent knee surgery and a broken iMac this is my fist week to participate in the project and ,in fact, my first blog post in awhile for those exact same reasons.  But the pc is back and running and while I’m not running on the knee yet I am limping around taking photos.

This weeks theme is “Ears”.  Of course as soon as I knew that I immediately thought of Harry – or rather Harry’s ears.  They are big, stand straight up and generally indicate his mood.  Up and alert is a happy dog like in today’s pic.  Down and flat is an unhappy dog, but since Harry is rarely unhappy I don’t have a pic of that.  However, no matter Harry’s mood his ears are hard to miss and one of his very best features!

Now that you’ve seen my interpretation of the Ears theme, check out Karen Weiler in Toronto, Ontario http://poshpetsblog.comand her ”Ears”.  From her blog you can keep clicking the links for the entire circle of blog posts from everyone who is participating.  Don’t forget to check back each week to see a new theme.  Enjoy!
