Check out little Max, who apparently has springs for legs. Wow.

Max has a personality that matches the heights his legs can jump to. He is sweet, cute as a button and very inquisitive. We spent a hot (did I say HOT) morning together at Lake Anza in Tilden Park. Max was a total pleasure to hang with, as was his human. Enjoy.

OK, everyone who loves dogs and music – check out this video. It will make you smile. Oh, how I wish my dogs were that well trained!
I was surprised by Chloe, don’t let her diminutive size and regal appearance fool you. She likes to have fun, romp, and play in the grass, as well as being incredibly sweet and charming.

Chloe I discovered loves to chase the ball and she also jumps after it and performs agility. Quiet a surprising little girl. Thanks for hanging with me Chloe.

OK, who here, like me, is old enough to remember those commercials? Come on, raise your hands. Well, today we are going to do something similar to that only we are going to play is it 5D2 or 50D? Seems to me photographers tend to split into two groups – Nikon vs Canon (no offense to the Pentax, Sony and Olympus lovers out there). From there you have full frame vs crop frame. Don’t even get me started on lenses, that is a whole other post. Technology can be a photographers friend, but I have a confession to make. I have this little problem with technology in that I’m like a kid in a candy store. I get all excited at the thought of a new acquisition, read toy, and as a result recently I rented a Canon 5D2 full frame SLR and had some fun playing. I won’t bore you with a breakdown in the difference between a full frame sensor and cropped frame, sum it up to image quality. So the question is – is the image quality with the 5D2 so much better than my existing Canon 50D (which I love by the way) to justify the additional $1,500 price tag.
Can you tell the difference? Compare these shots and let me know. If you hover over a shot you can see the image name, there are 5 taken with the 5D2 and 5 with the 50D. Leave me comments, which images have the best quality? I’d love to get your opinions readers.

It was fate that I should photograph Betsy. I first met her in May when she was just a little cutie awaiting adoption at Berkeley Humane. Then I ran into her walking her humans at Tilden Park one day in July and was amazed to see how much she had grown in those few short weeks. And finally just last month I find her (with humans in tow) at the obedience class we took Lily to. So, OK fate I get it – time to snap some photos.

Betsy is an incredibly sweet and friendly pit mix. And that tongue! Well if you don’t like big affectionate doggie kisses then don’t get too close because she can’t wait to lay one on you. Fortunately, I do like big sloppy wet doggie kisses and so I got my share. Not only is she friendly but also goofy and loves her toys. Those of us at the obiedience class soon learned that Betsy was the class clown. I had a blast at Jack London Square with her this past weekend and am thrilled to see her so happy in her new home. Another sucessful rescue story. Go Betsy!
