At the tail end of spring I had the great joy of photographing the babies at the Peninsula Humane Society. I spent a couple of hours in the kitten nursery watching as the volunteers gently weighed, measured, feed and cleaned the teeny little kittens. They were so incredibly cute!

It wasn’t just kittens either. PHS also rescues and rehabilitates wild animals and for the first time I was allowed into that part of the shelter. One of the staff showed me around and I saw a baby pygmy owl (very cute), a baby possum (not as cute), many, many teensy weensy little baby birds of all varieties, as well as raccoons and squirrels.

They do good work at PHS and need all of our continued support. I’m glad I can do my small part.
